People living in Lichield and Burntwood are being urged to break out the bunting and raise money for a local charity.
Whittington-based St Giles Hospice is calling for residents to join their Great Jubilee Tea Party initiative with celebrations at home, at work or at their club or place of worship.
The charity are offering a starter pack which includes hints, tips and fundraising ideas.
Helen Relihan, head of fundraising for St Giles Hospice, explained: “The tea party is a quintessentially British institution – so there can’t be a more fitting way to mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee then with family and friends while raising money for a fantastic cause.
“Anyone signing up to host a Great St Giles Jubilee Tea Party will get all the advice they need to hold a successful fundraising event, including some scrummy recipe ideas courtesy of the top chefs at the Belfry Hotel, Fairlawns Hotel and Spa, and Netherstowe House.”
