PEOPLE are being invited to join the celebrations for the tenth annual Staffordshire Day.
It will take place on 1st May, with residents encouraged to host events to showcase the best of the county.
Creative workshops, family activities and other initiatives to bring people together are being encouraged.
The Lord-Lieutenant of Staffordshire, Prof Elizabeth Barnes CBE, said:
“Staffordshire Day is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our county and the people who make it so special. I would encourage everyone to get involved and play your part.
“Why not organise a local event, bring your community together, or showcase the fantastic creativity, heritage and talent we have here in Staffordshire? It’s a chance to celebrate where we live, support local businesses and create something memorable for residents and visitors alike.”
Anyone planning an event that would appeal to visitors is encouraged to submit it on the official Visit Staffordshire website.
