Used milk bottles will get a new lease of life thanks to an upcycling project in Lichfield.
People are being invited to visit Beacon Park between 11am and 2pm on Saturday 15th June to find out how to transform their empty bottles.
They will be transformed into fairy houses, dinosaur heads, plant pots, scoops, watering cans and bird feeders.
There will also be the opportunity to add an upcycled milk carton feather to the Feel Good Garden Angel sculpture.
Councillor Liz Little, Cabinet member responsible for leisure, said: “We’re inviting everyone to bring a clean, plastic milk bottle to our upcycle day.
“It’s a chance to get creative in the park and to make something out of an object that would otherwise end up in the recycling bin.”
Taking place at Beacon Park’s community garden, it costs 50p and all sizes of milk bottles can be used. Children must be accompanied at all times at this drop-in event.
