Nether Stowe school in Lichfield is appealing for unused bicycles to help a project in Malawi.

Bikes collected will be taken to Abbots Bromley where they will be loaded into a container and shipped to Malawi. The cycles will be repaired and restored in the ‘Bee Bikes’ workshop before being sold on to raise funds for the community.

It’s all part of the Krizevac Project, run by George Furnival and Lichfield Soroptimists.

Staff and pupils have already been asked to donate bicycles which will be collected by Mr Bruce, a parent of a child at the school. Members of the public are also encouraged to take along their bikes to the school at 8.45am tomorrow (May 4).
