The Charles Court Opera will return to the Lichfield Festival for two performances of their latest work.
Patience will be at the The Hub at St Mary’s at 1.30pm and 7.30pm on 10th July.
A spokesperson said:
“Expect a typical tale of tongue-twisting lyrics and comedy, in a world where well-born young fall rapturously in love with unsuitable poets, both of whom are, in turn, in love with the eponymous Patience, a simple village milkmaid who cares nothing for their art.
“Meanwhile, a hoard of military suitors add to the mayhem, and Patience learns that true love must be completely unselfish-– it must wither and sting and burn.”

Tickets are £22 and can be booked online.
