CHASETOWN twice came from behind to earn a point at Bootle.
The hosts gave The Scholars an early scare with a shot that rattled the crossbar, while Curtis Pond also had to be alert to deny Danny Mitchley with a smart save midway through the first half.
Bootle made the breakthrough five minutes before the break though when Ben Hodkinson fired home.
Chasetown went in search of a leveller in the second half as a Kris Taylor corner found Danny Glover, but his effort cleared the bar – and then Oli Hayward saw a long range effort deflected into the gloves of home keeper Tony Thompson.
The Scholars levelled with 20 minutes to go as Joey Buckley powered an effort into the top corner.
But minutes later they were behind again as Sean Williams found the net.
Glover fired just wide and then Bootle managed to clear a goalmouth scramble as it looked like Chasetown were heading for defeat – but Alfie Taylor found the elusive leveller in the last minute as he turned home a long throw to earn his side a share of the spoils.
