Chasetown FC fans waiting to catch a glimpse of the club’s new signing will have to wait a little longer after their first pre-season friendly was cancelled.
The Scholars were due to travel to Pelsall Villa this evening (July 12) but the game has now been axed.
No official reason has been given for the postponement, but a statement on the club’s website said it was “due to circumstances beyond the control of both clubs”.
It means Chasetown’s first pre-season fixture will now be a trip to Rugby Town on Friday.
