Chefs are preparing to cook up a storm as part of the Lichfield Food Festival.
The free event will take place on August 30 and 31 at venues across the city.
The programme will feature cookery demonstrations by chefs, food stalls throughout the city as part of the Lichfield Food Festival Market, a celebration of local brewers, demonstrations of top kitchen equipment brands, a charity baking demonstration by the Great British Bake Off finalist Christine Wallace, a baking competition and a children’s cupcake hunt.
Over the two-day event many eateries will also offer set menus for £10, and bars and pubs will offer a glass of wine or ale for £3 as part of the Wine & Ale and World Food trails.
Chef Simon Smith said: “We’re all delighted to launch the third Lichfield Food Festival and expect the city centre to be packed over the two days with people who know good food and drink when they see it.
“There will be plenty on offer to suit all tastes.”
The full programme of events is now available online.
