Alto saxophonist and composer Chris Bowden will be leading his quartet through a series of original compositions and jazz standards at Lichfield’s Cathedral Hotel.

With music that stretches boundaries, with elements of rock, blues, and hip-hop thrown into the mix, the performer will be in the city on 16th October.
As well as jazz standards and ballads, there will also be music from his releases Time Capsule, Slightly Askew and Unlikely Being.
A Lichfield Jazz spokesman said: “Chris Bowden is a leading light in the West Midlands jazz and music scene and has been for many years.
“His mature musicianship, talented quartet and wide-ranging musical interests will make an evening of spirited, lively and unforgettable entertainment for his many fans.”
The concert is hosted by Lichfield Arts, in partnership with Lichfield Jazz and supported by Jazz West Midlands. Tickets are available from www.lichfieldarts.org.uk or by calling 01543 262223.
