The former Port Vale centre-back clocked up 500 games for The Scholars last season and is one of a number of faces who will stay on under new boss Dave Stringer.

Others to sign up for the 2015/16 term are Francino Francis, Jono Gould, Jon Haynes, Nicholas Turton, Grant Beckett and Danny Griffiths.

Stringer had previously persuaded midfielder Richard Davies to stay on at The Scholars Ground, while striker Paul Sullivan has returned from Hednesford Town.

The former Rugby Town boss has also persuaded Lewis Rankine and Justin Marsden to make the move to Chasetown with him.
