AN annual bowls match has pitted a Lichfield City Council team against players from a local club.
Cllr Rosie Harvey-Coggins, Mayor of Lichfield, led her squad against a line-up from Lichfield Museum Bowling Club in the Swinfen Broun Challenge Trophy match.
Despite a valiant effort from the council team, they were eventually beaten 110-50.
Following the match, the Mayor presented the trophy to club president Andy Hayes.
A raffle organised as part of the event also helped raise £200 for the Lichfield Museum Bowling Club's upcoming charity fun day.
The match is due to take place again next year with a date scheduled for 19th June 2027.
