The 2019 Ride Lichfield event starts on Friday (21st June) with fun and games in The Close from 8pm, culminating in the 9 Chimes Ride around the cathedral as the chimes begin at 9pm.

The following day will see the 6th annual Lichfield Jolly ride over a three or four mile course starting at Speakers’ Corner at 3pm. The outing will finish at the beer garden of the Wellington Ale House on Birmingham Road around 5pm.

After the ride, Lichfield Re:Cycle will be holding a special general meeting to formally wind up their volunteer project, with a new charity being formed to take the organisation’s work forward.

On Sunday, the third Ride Lichfield Sportive takes place over 60km or 100km.

A spokesperson said: “Places are currently all reserved, but we have a wait list if people would like to join should a space become free.”

People can add themselves to the wait list by emailing  ridelichfield@outlook.com.
