COUNCIL chiefs say residents may experience delays in bin collections due to weather conditions.
Freezing temperatures and snowfall have made some roads difficult to access.
A spokesperson for Lichfield District Council said any missed collections will be rescheduled later in the week.
“Our teams are out today and will be working where it is safe to do so. If it’s safe for you, please put your bins out as normal.
“Crews will be trying to empty bins that were missed yesterday and collecting bins due today where roads and pavements are safe to access.
“For any streets we’re unable to reach, we’ll plan to return later this week, weather permitting.
“Our online bin calendar will be updated, but please be aware this may change again depending on weather conditions.
“If your bin isn’t emptied this week, please leave it out for now.
“Thank you for your patience and understanding while conditions remain difficult, and as we continue to prioritise the safety of our crews and residents.”
