A COUNCILLOR is hoping shoppers will support local businesses when a market returns in Burntwood.

The monthly event is back following a winter break on 12th April. It will then be held at Sankey’s Corner on the second Sunday of each month until October.

Fruit and veg, meat, fish, eggs, cheese, plants, sweet treats, gifts and cosmetics will be among the items up for grabs.

Cllr Laura Ennis, Chair of Burntwood Town Council, said:

“We are pleased to see Burntwood Market back after a break over the winter.

“It’s great to have this regular event here in Burntwood and it’s wonderful to support local businesses and see residents enjoy it.

“Lots of different things will be happening every month at the market and it’s great to see different people attending each month too. “
