PEOPLE are being invited to find out more about the recently published Burntwood Masterplan at a councillors' advice surgery.
Representatives from the local Labour party will be on hand at Burntwood Library from 10am to 11am on Saturday (6th June).
Cllr Steve Norman said he was keen for locals to find out more about the work that has taken place to draw up future plans for the town:
"Some residents might be confused by a 'Walter Mitty' cut-down version of the Burntwood Masterplan being promoted on social media that already has requests for a Primark, a bowling alley, a water feature, a cinema, a community centre and a Wetherspoons all on the privately owned Sankey’s Corner shopping area.
"Following initial consultation with representatives from Burntwood Town Council, Hammerwich Parish Council, Lichfield District Council, Staffordshire County Council, Burntwood Action Group and others, renowned company Gillespies produced a comprehensive Masterplan for Burntwood which can be viewed here."
