OH yes he is – the star of the Lichfield Garrick’s annual pantomime has confirmed he is moving on to pastures new.
Sam Rabone has starred as the panto dame for nine years at the city theatre, culminating in a starring role in Cinderella this year.
But he now says it’s time for “the next adventure” in his career.
Sam said:
“I’ve had ten fabulous years at the Lichfield Garrick, performing in their panto, delivering my very own Big Bostin’ Variety Shows and even had a wee dabble in a spot of Shakespeare.
“Nearly 400,000 people have been entertained over the course of the ten years and I’ve had five years as a director, nine years as a dame and one year as a bloke.
“It’s been an utter joy being the resident dame in Lichfield, but it’s now time for the next adventure.
“Thanks to each and every actor and creative I’ve worked with at the Garrick. It’s been a total and utter joy to be home for Christmas.”
