Dave Stringer has been appointed as the new manager of Chasetown FC.

He succeeds Marcus Law who left the club earlier in the summer to join Kettering Town.

Stringer has previously managed Rugby Town where he twice finished runners up in the last three seasons.

Chasetown’s chief executive Mike Joiner said: “We are very pleased to get Dave on board.

“He comes to us with a wealth of knowledge at our level of football. His teams have always been competitive, playing the type of quality football that our fans have been used to in the past.

“We had a large number of applicants and have been delighted with the high quality of candidates and we believe that, in Dave, we have made the right choice for the club to push on and gain promotion.”
