Dean Williams proved the difference as Burntwood Town beat Rugeley Rangers.
His hat-trick means Town have opened up a significant gap between themselves and the sides at the bottom of the Midland Combination Division Two.
They could climb as high as tenth if they get a result at Leamington Hibernian on Saturday (April 13).
