Barton United’s hopes of closing the gap on the front-runners were dented when they had to settle for a point against third-placed Barnt Green Spartak.
A Dale Barton goal wasn’t enough to secure the maximum spoils for fifth-placed United as the game ended 1-1.
The result means Barton now have 36 points in the Midland Combination Division Two, four behind Sutton United and ten adrift of Spartak, while leading due Perrywood and Alcester Town now have a 12 point cushion over United.
