Drugs and cash seized after police stop car in Lichfield

Police have seized £75,000 worth of drugs and £12,500 in cash after a car was stopped in Lichfield.

POLICE have seized £75,000 worth of drugs and £12,500 in cash after a car was stopped in Lichfield.

It came after officers discovered cocaine and a mobile phone when two people inside the vehicle were searched yesterday (24th June).

A 32-year-old man, from Lichfield, was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a class A drug and refusing to provide a sample in custody. A 29-year-old man, from Dudley, was also arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a class A drug.

Following the arrests, officers searched a house in Dudley and found an estimated £35,000 worth of cocaine, £40,000 worth of cannabis and £12,500 in cash.

A 32-year-old woman, from Dudley, was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a class A drug.
