The eclectic sounds of Ayanna Witter-Johnson will be on offer when the performer comes to the Lichfield Festival.
The singer, songwriter, composer and cellist will play at Lichfield Cathedral at 7.30pm on 13th July.
Ayanna’s recent work has seen her collaborate with the likes of Anoushka Shankar, Nitin Sawhney, Andrea Bocelli and Jools Holland.
A spokesperson said:
“She has a phenomenal mastery for seamlessly crossing the boundaries of classical, jazz, reggae, soul and R and B, to imprint her unique musical signature with her virtuosic tap, strum and bow with her cello into her sound and vibe.
“A second-generation Jamaican born in Britain, her music is a body of work that represents, celebrates and pays homage to her ancestral heritage, culture and identity.”
“Ayanna Witter-Johnson is the very definition of eclectic soul.”
