Lichfield City FC will face a tough test if they hope to keep their record-breaking FA Cup run going.
Jay Hawkins’ men have already scooped £3,750 in prize money for wins in the extra preliminary round and the preliminary round.
But they now face an away tie at Halesowen Town in the first qualifying round.
City’s opponents currently ply their trade at a higher level in the Southern League Division One.
A victory for the underdogs would see Lichfield’s coffers boosted by a further £2,450 – although defeat would still see them collect an additional £800.
The tie will be played on 7th September, with City already reaching the furthest stage of the FA Cup in the club’s history.
But before then Lichfield will be back on the Wembley trail with a home FA Vase clash against Romulus on Saturday (31st August).
