A NEW McDonald's outlet has welcomed customers for the first time in Lichfield.
The drive-thru opened on Eastern Avenue yesterday (14th October) as part of an investment by local franchisee Mike McCollum.
It is open from 6am to 11pm seven days a week and has created 95 new full and part-time jobs.
The opening ceremony saw staff members and representatives from Liberty Jamboree mark the event.
Mike – who now owns and operates six McDonald's outlets in the West Midlands – said:
"We are delighted to be opening another brand-new McDonald’s restaurant in Lichfield and are excited to see local customers, both new and old, enjoy our services on offer.
"People are at the heart of our business, and we look forward to welcoming new employees with the jobs our restaurant will create.
"We’re committed to investing in opportunities for a mix of all ages, life stages and backgrounds, promoting flexibility and equality."
