FIVE people have been arrested after an attempted theft in Lichfield.
The incident happened at about 9.45pm on Saturday (14th June) when a group of people, described as young males wearing tracksuits broke into a car on Lombard Street.
They were pursued by police and were eventually stopped. A zombie knife was found when one of the individuals was searched.
Inspector Melissa Byrne, from the Lichfield local policing team, said:
“We’re determined to take robust action against those responsible for vehicle theft in Lichfield.
“We know this crime can have a profound impact on victims and we’re using all of the tactics available to prevent thefts from happening and to go after those responsible.”
