FIVE people have been arrested after a protest in Shenstone on Christmas Day.
Staffordshire Police said the incident happened at around 12.45pm.
Three men and two women were arrested and have been released on bail.
They were:
- A 60-year-old man from Wales was arrested on suspicion of aggravated trespass, locking onto a person/object/land to cause serious disruption, conspire to destroy/damage property and criminal damage to property valued under £5,000.
- A 21-year-old man, of no fixed address, was arrested on suspicion of aggravated trespass, locking onto a person/object/land to cause serious disruption, conspire to destroy/damage property and criminal damage to property – value over £5,000.
- A 38-year-old woman, from Folkestone, Kent, was arrested on suspicion of aggravated trespass, conspire to destroy/damage property and criminal damage to property – value over £5,000.
- A 20-year-old woman, from Norwich, was arrested on suspicion of aggravated trespass and conspire to destroy/damage property.
Following a protest at the same location on 31st July, Bryn Higgs, 60 and of Ullapool, has been charged with locking onto a person/object/land to cause serious disruption, conspire to destroy/damage property and criminal damage to property – value over £5,000.
He appeared at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre yesterday (27th December) and was remanded into custody.
