One of the stalwarts of the West Country folk scene will be performing at the Lichfield Guildhall later this year.

Geoff Lakeman – father of renowned musicians Sean, Sam and Seth – will be in the city on 1st December.
As a leading exponent of the rare crane duet concertina, he performs self-writting songs, as well as music with Irish, English and Scottish roots.
A Lichfield Arts spokesman said: “Geoff Lakeman is the country’s leading crane duet concertina player, and a fine singer who has built up a sterling career in the folk music world.
“His distinctive musical backing, prowess as a singer and songwriter, as well as a fine interpretive performer of other people’s music means that this will be a very special night of live music.”
Tickets are available from www.lichfieldarts.org.uk or by calling 01543 262223.
