A former Chasetown FC player is in intensive care after an on-field collision.
Lee Smith was playing for Tamworth last night (September 15) when he collided with an opponent from Gainsborough Trinity.
The 24-year-old underwent surgery overnight to have his spleen removed.
A Chasetown FC spokesperson said: “All at the club would like to wish Lee a full recovery.”
