Labour’s fight for votes in Lichfield and Burntwood has been boosted by a visit from a former shadow minister.
Huw Irranca-Davies will be bidding to retain the Ogmore seat he has held since 2002, but took time out to support Chris Worsey’s election campaign.
Mr Worsey said: “A big thanks to Huw for coming over. We had a good conversation about rural issues including building more affordable homes, helping businesses grow and prosper, and delivering universal broadband as part of a high-tech rural economy.”
Mr Irranca-Davies added: “Chris really understands rural issues. He is a strong Labour candidate and I would urge all Labour voters to make sure they get out to vote on May 7.”
He also met some of Labour’s local election hopefuls as they bid to convince voters across the area.
