Four people from Lichfield have been charged in connection with an investigation into online fraud.
They were arrested as part of the Staffordshire Police’s inquiry into fraud on the Gumtree classified advertisement websites.
A 32-year-old woman and 29-year-old man have been charged with conspiracy to defraud, while a 23-year-old man and 23-year-old woman have been charged with money laundering. All four have been bailed to appear before magistrates at Burton on October 20.
The charges relate to 37 victims who allegedly failed to receive goods after paying for them on Gumtree.
Eleven other people, including three arrested last week, remain on police bail pending further inquiries.
