Grandchildren to play for free at Lichfield golf course

Published:

Grandparents and their grandchildren are being given the chance to get in the swing with a golf offer in Lichfield.

On Sunday (September 7), youngsters playing at Beacon Park will go free when playing with their nan or grandad.

Councillor Andy Smith, Lichfield District Council’s Cabinet Member for Leisure & Parks, said: “Golf is such a fantastic sport to play as a family, and we’re hoping this offer will inspire more people to have a go.”

An 18-hole round of golf would normally cost £3.90 for children and concessions, or £7.80 for adults. Visitors can play with their own clubs or hire them when paying for a round for £1.50 a club, which includes a ball and a deposit of £1.
