Health chiefs have paid tribute to those who have helped deliver the Covid booster programme across Staffordshire.
The autumn 2022 vaccination scheme will close on 12th February, along with the 2021 third dose for those aged between 16 and 49.
A total of 390,000 people across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent have taken up their autumn jab.
But with figures revealing almost 1,200 patients were in hospital with Covid in the Midlands over the last seven days, health chiefs are urging eligible for their jab to come forward before the programme ends.
Dr Paddy Hannigan, vaccination programme lead for the region, said:
“I’d like to thank all those who have helped deliver our vaccination programme over the autumn and winter, and everyone involved since the vaccination programme started in December 2020.
“Vaccination uptake in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent has been very good and we are one of the top performing areas in the region
“Thank you to all our health and care organisations, numerous voluntary sector groups and many volunteers who continue to support us, and the public for coming forward to have their vaccinations.”
