BOSSES at the National Memorial Arboretum say they hope a festive attraction helped to create “special memories” for visitors.
Illuminated Arboretum returned in the run-up to Christmas and saw the Alrewas site transformed with light and sound installations.
It featured displays inspired by the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War.
A spokesperson said:
“We hope Illuminated Arboretum created some special memories for families and friends.
“This year’s magical winter light trail featured lots of new elements, from installations inspired by the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War, to community art projects and opportunities to remember loved ones at this special time of year.
“Our younger visitors enthusiastically enjoyed the return of Arbie, a young fluffy owl that lives at the arboretum, guiding them around new and interactive family-friendly installations.”
