PUPILS at a Burntwood school have been praised for their "purposeful and consistently positive" behaviour.
The comments were made by Ofsted inspectors following a visit to Holly Grove Primary Academy.
The school was rated as strong standard in attendance and behaviour, as well as personal development and wellbeing. It was at expected standard for all other areas.
The Ofsted report said:
"Staff engage proactively with families and use a range of well-embedded strategies to support regular attendance. As a result, rates of attendance are high and consistently improving for pupils who face barriers to attendance. Pupils are supported effectively to attend school regularly and on time.
"Pupils’ behaviour is calm, purposeful and consistently positive. They demonstrate respectful attitudes towards one another and understand the importance of treating others fairly.
"The needs of pupils who require help with managing their emotions are well understood. They are highly supported and settled as a result.
"Lessons are orderly and pupils are always ready to learn. Relationships between staff and pupils are warm and supportive, and staff consistently reinforce high expectations. This contributes to a strong culture where pupils feel safe, valued and ready to learn."
