We know this much is true – Spandau Ballet singer Tony Hadley is the new patron of the Lichfield Festival.
The communication that the I’m A Celebrity Star had been given a new role came during a festival preview held at the House of Commons.
To cut a long story short, Mr Hadley said he he was keen to explore the possibilities of the position – and insisted he did need this pressure on.
“This is the first arts charity I’ve been invited to support and I was delighted to be asked,” he said. “For me, the importance of supporting the arts is in the impact that it has on individuals of all ages.
“I know Lichfield well through family connections and I’m really excited to see where my patronage of the Lichfield Festival will lead in the future.”
The singer joins Michael Fabricant, Julian Lloyd Webber and Russian conductor Valery Gergiev as patrons of the event.

“Tony’s support really helps emphasise the Festival’s broad appeal and wide-ranging programming as we continue to reach wider audiences.
