Labour’s parliamentary candidate Chris Worsey believes his private sector experience would make him an asset for the people of Lichfield and Burntwood.
The 31-year-old runs his own digital business that aims to help young people.
He said: “I’m standing for parliament because I want to see a fairer more equal and more entrepreneurial society.
“I run my own small digital business which aims to get young people back into work. We provide them with training and we use advanced physiological techniques to place them into the right job.
“We actually go into businesses and interview the managing directors and ask them what it is young people need to do to actually get a job in what is a very tough labour market.”
Mr Worsey revealed that his connection with the local area will continue, whatever the result on May 7.
He said: “If I don’t win the election on May 7, I will still remain involved in Lichfield and Burntwood because I have made some fantastic contacts here.”
