Lichfield City FC secured back to back wins as an Osiris Robertson goal earned them a win over Chelmsley Town.
Dave Langston’s men moved into the top half of the Midland Football League Division One with a hard fought win.
City started brightly with in-form Daniel Griffiths seeing an effort cleared off the line, but Chelmsley were denied by the woodwork at the other end.
Josh Haston was next to go close for Lichfield as his effort was blocked, but both sides went into the break level after an even first half.
Jack Elcock headed over when he should have scored as City went in search of a breakthrough in the second period.
Robertson was next to go close after capitalising on a poor back pass but he could only poke the ball wide of the target.
It looked as though the game would finish as a stalemate as Griffiths fired over from 20 yards, but with the clock ticking down Robertson volleyed home from inside the area to nab the three points.
Lichfield are in FA Vase action next weekend as they travel to Hanley Town.
