
Lichfield Arts is bringing a new one-man production based on the life of DH Lawrence to the Guildhall.
Phoenix Rising, written by Campbell Kay and starring Paul Slack, will come to the city on April 22 following a successful run at the Adelaide Theatre Festival.
The play explores Lawrence’s tormented life – from his birth to the death of his mother – a period he fictionalised in Sons and Lovers.
Lichfield Arts director Chris Newcombe said: “This is a genuine first for Lichfield Arts and we are very excited about bring such a wonderful production to the Guildhall.”
