A three-month-old Lichfield baby is to have a starring role in a production of The Nativity.

Charlotte Brown will play baby Jesus in the Lichfield Mysteries’ performance of the story during the city’s Christmas Festival – and her eldest sister, Bethany, has been cast as Mary.

Mum and Dad, Imogen and John Brown, are happy for Charlotte to take part, but Imogen said: “I will have a doll ready just in case she decides she doesn’t want to sleep through the production!”

Shoppers are invited to join in the carol singing during the performance in Market Square (outside Lloyds TSB). The production, directed by Christine Genders, is on Sunday (December 16) at 2pm. If the weather is poor, the play will be performed in Wade Street Church Hall.
