Lichfield Cathedral is set to host the English Touring Opera as they perform their largest classical music concert ever.
Seven choirs featuring more than 130 singers will perform Bach’s Mass in B Minor on November 18.
They will joined by world-class soloists and a professional baroque-period orchestra under the guidance of conductor Jonathan Peter Kenny.
The choirs taking part include:
- Lichfield Cathedral Chamber Choir
- Staffordshire County Chorus
- Stone Choral Society
- Cantiamo Chamber Choir
- Cantorum Chamber Choir
- St Michael’s CE Primary School Choir
- Small Schools Multi-Academy Trust Choir
Jonathan said: “I’m looking forward enormously to working again with some of our musical friends again and to meet some new ones performing Bach’s extraordinary Mass in B minor, one of the most dazzling works of the 18th Century.”
