People will be able to get into the Christmas mood today (December 23) with a special performance at Lichfield Cathedral.
The young and youth voices performers will be joined by the Phoenix Singers from leek and the city’s Palace Singers for a production of A Christmas Carol.
A spokesperson said: “This retelling through song, without narration, of Charles Dickens’ classic tale draws on a wide variety of styles – some old, some new – while also incorporating well-loved carols that would have been known in Victorian England.”
Tickets for the performance cost £7.50 (adults and OAPs) and £3.50 (children), and are available from the box office at the Cathedral Shop, No. 9 The Close, or by calling 01543 306150.
