People are being asked to support charity while celebrating World Book Day.
St Giles Hospice is asking local bookworms to pick up a new read from its charity book shop on Market Street in Lichfield city centre.
Lynwen Truesdale, from the Whittington-based charity, said: “There’s no better time than World Book Day to rediscover your love of reading and you’re sure to find a book to get lost in at one of our charity bookshops.
“Our specialist bookshops are incredibly well supported by local people who have been very generous in donating their unwanted books for us to sell.
“We receive a large number of new titles every single week, so it’s worth popping in to our shops on a regular basis. Not only can you pick up a bargain, but you’ll also be helping us to raise vital funds for St Giles Hospice.”
World Book Day takes place tomorrow (March 6) and aims to encourage more people to develop a love of reading.
