A LICHFIELD city-centre food business has confirmed a change in direction.
Lunch at Loafers confirmed that its site at 44 Bore Street would be transformed into a bar in September.
In a statement on social media, the owners said:
"Our current sandwich counter closes on 5th September, so pop in and grab your favourite before then.
"We'll be closed from 7th to 12th September while we transform the place – and then from 13th September we'll be reopening with our brand new bar serving cocktails, wine and draft beer."
Lunch at Loafers moved to the current premises in 2024 after previously occupying a smaller premises a few doors down on Bore Street.
The new-look venue will host a range of events including comedy nights, cocktail and bottomless events, craft-making sessions and quiz nights.
The owners added:
"We're so excited for this next chapter and can't wait to welcome people to 44 Bore Street."
