Lichfield City FC’s unscheduled winter break continued as yet another game fell foul of the weather.
Paul Holt’s men had hoped to consolidate their place at the top of the table, but were frustrated as their tie at Atherstone Town was rained off.
They will try again next Saturday (February 1) when Earlswood Town are set to visit Brownsfield Park.
There was similar frustration in Division Two where Burntwood Town’s game at Polesworth was called off.
That means Bill Aiton’s men will return to action with a massive game against the club directly below them at the bottom of the table on Saturday.
Visitors Inkberrow will be desperate to close the five point gap and haul Burntwood back into the mire.
