Lichfield City FC have added experience to their ranks with the signing of Paul Jones.
The former member of Chasetown FC’s coaching staff has signed as a player, but will also be adding his input to off-the-field matters.
Manager Dean Gilbert admitted he was delighted to bring the former Wolves and Walsall player in. He explained:
“Fans in the area will remember Paul from his time as Charlie Blakemore’s assitant at Chasetown, but he has signed a player registration form for us. But he will also be helping out behind the scenes with myself and Andy McRobbie.
“Paul’s knowledge and experience will be invaluable for the season ahead and we are looking forward to working closely with him.”
