LICHFIELD City Ladies fired themselves to the top of the table after a 5-0 win over bottom side Newcastle Town.
Dolcie Sims got the scoring underway in the fifth minute after lofting a ball over the visiting keeper.
Jodie Mason almost added a second after Shelbie Cartwright had sent her through with a clever back heel, but she was denied by a smart save.
The second goal arrived after 17 minutes when Cartwright’s through ball found Sims who made no mistake to double her tally.
City’s third came just seconds after half time when a penalty was awarded and Sims wrapped up her hat-trick from the spot.
Minutes later and it was 4-0 as Cartwright again turned provider with Corinna Williams applying the finish.
The scoring was complete 15 minutes from time when Mason’s cross saw Courtney Dilger net.
