LICHFIELD City Ladies endured an afternoon to forget as they went down 4-1 at Hednesford Town.
Courtney Dilger saw an early shot from distance go over the top – but that was about as good as it got for the visitors in the first half as Rachel Cumberledge put the hosts in front on 25 minutes.
Just minutes later and it was 2-0 thanks to Ellie Sims – and then five minutes before the break Hednesford added a third as Cumberledge bagged her second.
Lichfield gave themselves hope in the second half when Donna Millward netted.
But the final word went to Hednesford as Ria Elsmore wrapped up the scoring to condemn City to a 4-1 defeat.
