Facing higher league opposition in the shape of Racing Club Warwick, City performed well with Sam Geffen and Aaron Cleaver full of running.
But three mistakes gave Racing Club Warwick a healthy lead and they topped off a flattering scoreline with a stunning strike to make it 4-0.
Lichfield will now need to turn their attention back to league action as they entertain Midland Combination Division Three leaders Hampton on Saturday.
