A SERIES of proposed overnight closures of the A38 southbound slip road at Streethay have been cancelled.

The link had been due to be shut to motorists between 9pm and 5am from 26th October to 30th October as part of ongoing HS2 works.

But a spokesperson for contractor Balfour Beatty Vinci said:

"These closures are no longer required. As a result, the southbound slip road will remain open during this period."

However, southbound carriageway closures between Hilliard's Cross and Swinfen Interchange will still go ahead from 9pm to 5am each weekday from 12th to 22nd October.
