MANAGERLESS Lichfield City failed to build on their first points of the season as they were thumped at Prescot Cables.
The hosts got off to the perfect start after two minutes when a long throw found its way into the net via Matthew Waters.
Moments later and the lead was doubled as John Murphy netted past Tom Carter in the City goal.
Prescot Cables made it 3-0 on the stroke of half-time when Jack Loughran's strike found the top corner.
Number four arrived for the hosts when Jake Burton fired underneath Carter.
The scoring was wrapped up on the hour mark when Murphy added his second of the game.
