LICHFIELD City suffered a 3-1 home defeat against Bedworth United.
Ivor Green’s men had fallen behind after 20 minutes, but levelled through Harvey Smith just before half-time.
But the second period saw Bedworth fire home two goals to take all three points.
Lichfield began brightly with Jude Taylor heading just wide and Callum Griffin seeing a shot blocked in the opening exchanges.
It was the visitors who took the lead though when a low cross was steered past Brendon Bunn by Matthew Shipman.
Things almost got worse when another Bedworth effort looked destined for the net, but Josh Mansell was alert to produce a goal-line clearance.
City were level on the stroke of half-time when Jack Edwards’ cross was headed home by a diving Smith.
The visitors were quick out of the blocks in the second half, sending a shot over the bar and forcing Bunn to save well with his legs.
But City found themselves behind once more on the hour mark when Samson Hewett netted.
Things got even worse shortly afterwards when a clever move saw Teddy Rowe make it 3-1.
Smith went close to reducing the deficit before the final whistle, but his shot was blocked on the line.
The result means Lichfield are now ninth in the table, five points off the play-offs with two games left to play.
